VIYA Health delivers WHO‑prequalified contraceptive to Oyo PHCs
VIYA Health has begun talks with the Oyo State Primary Healthcare Board to bring a WHO‑prequalified injectable contraceptive to the state’s primary health centres.
State officials outline partnership goals
Representatives met at the board’s secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan, to discuss scaling up access to Medogen SubQ, the product manufactured by Incepta Pharmaceuticals. The meeting focused on how the injectable, which meets WHO quality criteria, could be integrated into existing services.
Muideen Babatunde Olatunji, executive secretary of the board, said the state remains open to new reproductive health programmes. He noted a commitment to invest in health commodities and to broaden the range of safe, affordable contraceptive options in primary care facilities. “The Oyo State Government remains committed to improving access to quality primary healthcare services for our people,” he said.

He added that expanding the product lineup would complement ongoing efforts to improve maternal and child health outcomes and help families make informed reproductive decisions.
