RFG Advisory Adds Another Top Advisor

RFG Advisory has crossed $1.5 billion in recruited assets during the first half of 2026, with the addition of Brian LaHue, who moved his Indiana-based Sweet Life Financial Planning team from Farther with over $100 million in assets under management.
The Birmingham, Ala.-based hybrid RIA now has close to $9 billion in total assets under management.
LaHue, who has a team of three, cited RFG’s operating system and advisor growth platform as key factors in choosing to leave Farther for RFG.
Sweet Life works with clients through a “planning-first approach” that considers wealth, lifestyle, health and long-term personal goals into the planning process.
LaHue has been running Sweet Life for almost four years, according to his LinkedIn profile.
RFG noted its first half as the strongest recruiting period it has seen since its founding in 2003.
CEO Shannon Spotswood said in a statement, “Culture creates opportunity, but execution earns results.”
In April, RFG invested in Zocks Communications, an AI assistant that its advisors also use for daily operations.
In June, it also announced that it had entered into a partnership with private-market fintech iCapital to give its advisors access to investments, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds and structured investments, which can aid in payroll choices for clients.
The RIA also touts its “ClickONE” operating system, launched in March, which uses artificial intelligence to reduce the workload for advisors in managing client portfolios and financial plans.
They expect this operating system and partnerships to contribute to its continued growth and recruiting momentum, as the firm looks to expand its services and offerings to advisors and clients.
RFG Advisory is poised for further growth and expansion in the registered investment advisor space with its strong recruiting period and new investments.
The combination of RFG’s operating system, advisor growth platform, and strategic partnerships is designed to provide a full support system for advisors, enabling them to focus on delivering high-quality services to their clients.
By leveraging artificial intelligence and other technologies, RFG’s “ClickONE” operating system aims to streamline advisors’ workflow, reducing the time spent on administrative tasks and allowing them to devote more time to client relationships and portfolio management.
The partnership with iCapital, in particular, is expected to enhance RFG’s investment offerings, providing advisors with access to a broader range of investment products and strategies.
This, in turn, can help advisors to better serve their clients’ diverse needs and goals, whether it be through private equity, private credit, hedge funds, or other alternative investments.
As RFG continues to grow and expand its services, it is likely to attract more advisors and clients who are seeking a full and supportive platform for their investment and financial planning needs.
The firm’s strong recruiting period and new investments are a sign to its commitment to delivering exceptional services and support to its advisors and clients, and it is well-positioned to maintain its momentum in the registered investment advisor space.
With its hybrid RIA model and full platform, RFG Advisory is an attractive option for advisors who are looking to grow their practices and deliver high-quality services to their clients.
The firm’s focus on technology, innovation, and strategic partnerships is expected to drive its continued growth and success, making it a major player in the registered investment advisor space.
